It's planting time for ranunculus here on my flower farm in Zone 7! Ranunculus are one of the most beautiful spring flowers that people go nuts for at my farm stand! Soak ranunculus corms for 2-3hrs 4. Once done soaking, plant out immediately. (I DO NOT pre-sprout - do what's best for you.) I lay a corm in every 6in

While pre-sprouting before planting is optional, the initial hydration from soaking is a necessary step to encourage growth and prevent shriveled corms. Space about 4–6 inches apart 2” deep, with the claws pointing down for ranunculus any side up for anemone. Zone 7: You’ve got two options — plant in fall with frost protection (like lo

It’s time to get your ranunculus pre-sprouted for fall planting! If you live in zones 7 and up, you can presprout your ranunculus now for weeks of gorgeous spring flowers.. If you’re in a different zone, save this info for February or March! One of the biggest mistakes I see people doing is starting these flowers way too late… and the common instructions actually encourage this mistake because they often say to “start after your last frost”… but if you do this, you won’t get many flowers and the

Jenna Meadows | Meadows Flower Farm on Instagram: "Ranunculus are cool weather loving, spring blooming beauties I start now in January in my zone 6a garden climate! Steps: 1) Soak corms in water: This hydrates them and in turn allows them to start growing quicker. 3-4 hours does the trick! Be careful not to leave them too long or they can rot. Once they look plump, you’re golden! 2) Keep the water flowing to add oxygen- these are living little plants that don’t appreciate sitting in stagnant wat

Give them 10–14 days in a cool, damp medium (45–55°F) until you see little nubs forming. Cool temps = strong roots earlier blooms. 🌤️ Harden Off: Late February → early March Slowly introduce them to
