#OTD in 1963 the original production of Lerner and Loewe's "Camelot," closed on Broadway after 873 performances. Not only did Kathryn Grayson take over the role of Guenevere from Julie Andrews, she also starred in the two-year U.S. tour that followed the Broadway closing.
