📍Snibs Cave, GirvanThere's a cave along the Ayrshire coast that was once home to Henry Ewing Torbet also known as 'Snib Scott' for over three decades. He was born in Dundee and was a trained accountant but decided to give up his job, severed all connections, and took to the road becoming a tramp and a beggar. Torbet was described as a very proud man and for many years he was self-sufficient, doing odd jobs for the locals, hunting rabbits, and gathering leftover potatoes. He would collect bottle
