Real or candy? No, your eyes don’t deceive you! This is in fact a real spider! The eight-spotted crab spider is easily one of the strangest animals I’ve ever encountered. Their bright coloration and smooth reflective bodies make them look like they’re made out of plastic or gummy candy until they move. Why are these spiders so brightly colored? In short?
