Abandoned Northumberland History ~ Cresswell Hall The hall was built between 1821-1825 by London architect John Shaw using sandstone from nearby quarries with the stable block pictured here built in 1829. Cresswell Hall was unfortunately demolished due to structural faults but this stable block remains although abandoned and giving serious creepy tomb raider vibes! After our post looking for recommendations last week we booked a last minute getaway with The Northumberland Retreat at Cresswell Towers.
