If you judge by those metrics, Lincoln Riley is one of the best college football coaches in history, despite the fact that he's never won a CFP game. I don't necessarily think producing pro football talent is less valid than pursuing championships. Technically college should be about putting you in the best position to succeed professionally.

Look at almost any playbook, there’s different sections between runs and passes for a reason. If you wanted to go in depth with your run game and simple with your pass it isn’t asking a lot, look at the triple option teams.
