Trying to decide between GBA vs 3DS version of Superstar Saga
Nov 19, 2022 · chose the gba. it is the classic and it is truly the first mario and luigi game. the sprites and graphics and music are glorious and you wont have to deal with the noisy bros in the remake. they removed some great details from the original in the remake like Geno. if you want to be a true mario and luigi fan, play the original gba version Also ...
WDYT: Was Superstar Saga GBA better or the 3Ds version?
I just recently finished the Superstar Saga 3Ds (beat it whilst crossing the Serbian border lol) and I felt like the original was just a bit better in some ways. The final boss theme in the original sounded more menacing and the sprites are just iconic. The combat is much quicker in the original which I like.

Aug 14, 2019 · The 3d mario games (Land/world) are so bland and pedestrian compared to games like Sunshine and Galaxy (Although Odyssey definitely brought a lot of fun back to the series). The 3DS versions of the N64 Zelda games are crisper looking but a lot of environments and models lack the charm of the original atmospheres.

Apr 18, 2018 · Superstar Saga is endlessly creative, has incredible pacing, and offers a unique spin on the Mario RPG formula. Superstar saga is a departure from series norm in many ways. Being the first game in a series, this is to be expected. However, it also broke many of the conventions and expectations set by previous Mario RPGs.

Not to knack on sales of 3ds game but the GBA game is 1/3-1/4 of the price of the 3ds preowned ebay wise, new wise it's more less expensive. 4: Bowers's minions side mode. It's not worth it in the long run even with the little story elements to tie up everything, it just feels like filler to me and grindy. 5: 3DS.

Sep 20, 2017 · To me, that was Mario & Luigi and it was distinct from other Mario games. When they changed it with Dream Team, it pushed me away from the series, but I played that and Paper Jam and I got used to it. So the 3DS version looks great to me and I'll still play it. I just prefer the original's style. Who knows?

Jun 4, 2023 · I enjoyed the GBA version of Superstar Saga a year or two after finishing college. It was fun, though I got distracted by something else after maybe a dozen hours. Every now and then, I tried to replay the original game, but it didn't hold my interest. Around 2019, I borrowed the 3DS remake from a public library. It wasn't a big letdown.

People complain about the Bowser's Inside Story Remake a lot because of the 30 FPS thing and how redundant it was with BiS already being playable on 3DS. Superstar Saga DX is a full 60 FPS remake of the GBA game to bring it more in line with later titles in the series.
