Joseph Anthony Campanella (November 21, 1924 – May 16, 2018) was an American character actor. He appeared in more than 200 television and film roles from the early 1950s to 2009.

Gaunt, wavy-haired Sicilian-American character actor Joseph Campanella seemed to pop up in just about every second TV series and telemovie of the 1960s and 70s. A tireless veteran of stage and screen, he remained very much in demand well into his eighties.

Born Joseph Anthony Campanella, he served in the United States Navy, as one of its youngest commanders, during the Second World War. After the war, he attended both Manhattan University and Columbia University, where he studied drama.
