The breakthrough, aided by advances in DNA testing, comes after more than three decades of investigation into one of Austin’s most notorious unsolved cases.

After 34 years, Austin Police (APD) finally have a prime suspect in the 1991 yogurt shop murders.

The convictions were ultimately overturned after an appeals court ruled their sixth amendment rights had been violated.
