D.C. firefighters said a vehicle plunged into the Potomac River after being involved in a crash the Arlington Memorial Bridge. Police are investigating whether wintry weather played a role in the crash.

The vehicle fell into the river from the Arlington Memorial Bridge after colliding with another car Thursday evening, according to D.C. officials.

The Brandywine Valley SPCA Animal Control team, D.C. police and D.C. Fire rescued a deer stranded on the Potomac River Thursday.
