Former MTV VJ Ananda Lewis, 51, says she’s “thriving” after choosing to undergo new treatment for her Stage 4 breast cancer.

The former MTV host, who has been battling breast cancer for nearly six years, shared in an interview with CNN that her cancer is at Stage 4.

Former MTV VJ Ananda Lewis recently shared that her cancer has spread and is now at stage IV. The television host revealed that her breast cancer has metastasized in a CNN roundtable discussion with her best friend, journalist Stephanie Elam, and CNN anchor Sara Sidner.

The 51-year-old former television personality revealed she had cancer in 2020 and refused to get a double mastectomy.

Lewis, the host of the 1990s MTV show “Hot Zone,” tried to fight her illness without undergoing a double mastectomy. She says she is responding well after resuming treatment.
