Observations after Maxey nearly posts triple-double in Sixers' win over Mavs
Justin Edwards was the odd man out and Jabari Walker returned to the rotation after Dominick Barlow picked up two early fouls. Sixers Bell Ringer: Hometown hero leads the way in Dallas
The 76ers played their most complementary game of the season in a 123- 108 victory over the Dallas Mavericks. They finished with five players in double-figures, only 11 turnovers and shot 53% from the field.
Being relegated to a supportive teammate is tough for Kelly Oubre Jr. The 76ers small forward was having a great season before spraining the lateral collateral ligament in his left knee against the Detroit Pistons on Nov.
For over a year, the Sixers' three players inked to max contracts have been discussing the importance of continuity for the sake of building a rhythm. Perhaps this is what they had in mind.

Sixers start 2026 with a well-balanced, impressive win in Dallas
A win to kill all agenda wars, how nice. The Sixers knocked off the Dallas Mavericks 123-108 Thursday night. Tyrese Maxey had another exciting homecoming, leading all scorers with 34 points with 10 assists and eight rebounds going 14-of-24 from the floor.
Hall of Famer Carmelo Anthony, and George's former teammate with the Oklahoma City Thunder, knows how hard that transition can be as he had to make it in his career. With that being said, he has a ton of confidence that George and the Sixers can get the job done:
Early in the season, three-time Sixth Man of the Year winner Lou Williams discussed how Maxey's emergence would benefit George's return from injury. Williams said that last year, everyone was looking at an Embiid-PG tandem with Maxey as the third star.
