Top-ranked Aryna Sabalenka staved off an upset bid by resurgent Emma Raducanu at Wimbledon by beating the home favorite 7-6 (6), 6-4 in the third-round at a raucous Centre Court.

Aryna Sabalenka was in great spirits after progressing to the Wimbledon quarterfinal and praised the crowd by funnily stating that this time there was no need to "pretend" that they were supporting her.

Nevertheless, the home crowd cheered for Raducanu as her Wimbledon campaign and grass court season ended. During her post-match press conference, Raducanu was still visibly upset about how she failed to execute, but still saw the silver lining in her performance.
