Federal agents used pepper balls and tear gas against anti-ICE protesters at a Chicago-area facility Friday during a tense standoff in Broadview, Illinois.

The feds have used the arrest of Ray Collins and Jocelyne Robledo to argue that ICE agents have been endangered by the ongoing protests.

Broadview officials say ICE officers told police that federal authorities would launch an “enforcement action throughout all of Broadview” and again deploy chemical agents.

DHS officials said they arrested "11 violent rioters" outside of an ICE detention facility in Chicago over the weekend.

In the Chicago suburb of Broadview on Friday, ICE used tear gas, less-lethal rounds, flash bang grenades and pepper balls to quell protests outside an immigration detention center, the latest standoff in what have become near-daily demonstrations calling to close the facility.
