Ty Dillon ran into several problems during the NASCAR Cup Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Piloting his No. 10 Sea Best Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, Dillon had a solid start in 20th position but soon found himself struggling with handling issues that saw him slip out of the top 30.

The NASCAR Cup Series season continues on the early run of pack-racing tracks with Sunday's Ambetter Health 400 at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Atlanta's new configuration has created closer racing with drafting and downforce ruling the road.

Ryan Blaney, the recent Cup champion who came within 0.003 seconds of Daniel Suárez, won the pole position to lead the field to green. Ford drivers own nine of the first 10 starting positions in Sunday’s race — including all four members of the Team Penske/Wood Brothers Racing alliance on the front two rows.
