Claire's, the popular accessory retailer, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Find out why the company made the move and what it means for its stores.

Much like other restaurant chains that filed for Chapter 11 in 2025, the company says rising costs, lower demand and other "insurmountable" pressures on the industry are causes for the move. Bravo Brio previously filed for bankruptcy in 2020 and emerged from the proceedings a few months later after it was acquired by Earl Enterprises.

A restaurant that has operated at the Christiana Mall since November 2010 has closed permanently. Signs direct patrons to New Jersey sites.
