Dallas-Fort Worth will be sunny but chilly Monday before an arctic cold front prompts an extreme weather watch.

A cold weather advisory was issued by the NWS Fort Worth TX on Thursday at 6:17 p.m. valid from 9 p.m. until Friday 10 a.m. The advisory is for Young, Jack, Stephens, Palo Pinto, Parker, Erath, Hood,

"Make sure all your outside faucets are covered. You can buy the Styrofoam covers. Everybody has seen them. You can put them on outside to make sure that helps. If you don't have that available, wrap some blankets and tape them on," Crowson said.
