Equinor may scrap its Empire Wind 1 offshore wind project “within days” if the U.S. government's stop-work order is not lifted

The developer of a major U.S. offshore wind project warned that it will cancel the Empire Wind facility off the coast of New York if it cannot in the coming days reach a resolution over a month-old stop-work order issued by the Trump administration.

The Norwegian company Equinor says it will be forced to terminate an offshore wind project for New York within days unless the Trump administration lets construction resume.
