Three homes in Pacoima caught on fire Thursday night. The Los Angeles Fire Department said it started at roughly 9 p.m. in the 12900 block of Corcoran Street. Firefighters said fireworks were active at the scene. LAFD entered defensive mode and started fighting fire from a safe distance "to prioritize life safety," the department said.

More than 130 firefighters battled a fire involving fireworks explosions that engulfed four homes in Pacoima and critically injured a woman on Thursday night, authorities said.

One person was killed and four-homes were red-tagged following a fireworks-related blaze in the San Fernando Valley.
