A Melissa ISD employee was fired after the district's police department found “inappropriate electronic communication” between the employee and a student.

The mother, who did not want to be identified, spoke to KPRC 2′s Deven Clarke, and said she is escalating her concerns to the Texas Education Agency, seeking drastic action.

Superintendent Golden said the teacher has been placed on administrative leave pending the police investigation.
