A 48-year-old man from White Springs was killed after his motorcycle was hit by a truck on Wednesday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

A 48-year-old White Springs man is dead after a crash in Columbia County Wednesday morning, according to Florida Highway Patrol. At approximately 6:40 a.m., the report said a pickup truck was traveling north on County Road 250 and a motorcyclist was traveling south on County Road 250.

According to the FHP report, a 65-year-old Fort Meade man was driving a pickup truck north on CR 250. At the same time the White Springs man was riding a motorcycle south on the same road. As the truck began to turn left onto Nash Road, the motorcycle struck the front of the truck.
