The College Football Playoff will kick off with a first-round game on December 19, followed by three more on December 20. The Friday night game will start at 8 p.m.
At the end of the first quarter, Texas leads Vanderbilt 17-0. The Longhorns outgain the Commodores 171-86, but were also aided by Colin Simmons sacking Diego Pavia to cause a fumble on Vanderbilt's first drive.
