The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources released its updated Pennsylvania Fall Foliage map on Thursday,

Lehigh Valley leaf-peepers should start their sightseeing soon. On Thursday, the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources said in its weekly foliage outlook that leaves in both Lehigh and Northampton counties are beginning to peak this week.

Consistently cold nights and cool days have spurred a very colorful change in Penn’s Woods. Bright color can be found from the southern Poconos though the middle and southern Appalachians.

Parts of Western Maryland are past peak foliage for the season, while on the Eastern Shore and Southern Maryland leaves are approaching their midpoint. In Patapsco Valley State Park there are pockets of green,
