The San Francisco 49ers have committed to Brock Purdy as their franchise quarterback. The 49ers and Purdy have agreed to terms on a five-year, $265 million extension that includes $181 million in total guarantees, multiple insiders including NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported Friday.

Last season, Purdy had a down year. It was a tough season for him, but the entire 49ers' roster struggled to get anything going. Purdy completed 65.9 percent of his pass attempts for 3,864 yards, 20 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions in 15 games.
