The dog of Minnesota Democratic State Representative Melissa Hortman was also killed in the shooting that left the politician and her husband dead.

A procession brought the bodies of Minnesota Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark Hartman from the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office to a funeral home in Minneapolis. The Hortmans were fatally shot by Minnesota lawmaker shooting suspect Vance Boelter on June 14.

SUSPECT CAPTURED: Vance Boelter, the suspect in the fatal shootings of a Minnesota lawmaker and her husband, as well as the woundings of another lawmaker and his wife, has been captured.

Vance Boelter, the man accused of shooting two Minnesota state legislators and their spouses, was finally arrested late Sunday in Sibley County after an extensive manhunt. Boelter, 57, allegedly posed as a police officer and assassinated state House DFL leader Melissa Hortman and her husband,
