The Dallas Mavericks are one of the more intriguing teams to keep an eye on for the 2024-25 NBA season. One year removed from an NBA Finals appearance, the club had added Klay Thompson, who played a key role in the Golden State Warriors' recent dynasty.

Ahead of his 14th season in the NBA, Thompson admitted that he left the Golden State Warriors in favor of Dallas for the chance to play with Luka Doncic. Thompson spoke on his chemistry with Doncic during training camp and the preseason, saying the Slovenian star is one of the best in the league at elevating the play of those around him.

The Dallas Mavericks dominated the short-handed Milwaukee Bucks Thursday night in the preseason finale, picking up a 109-84 victory. While Dallas didn't have Luka Doncic, the Bucks were playing without Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard, Khris Middleton, Brook Lopez, and Bobby Portis. Dallas should've blown this game open and they did.
