The York County Coroner's Office has released the autopsy results for Matthew Ruth, the suspect in the deadly ambush of five law enforcement officials at a North Codorus Township farm last week.

The confrontation erupted Wednesday in York County as officers closed in on Ruth near his family's farm outside Hanover, Pennsylvania.

The Associated Press is reporting that Matthew James Ruth, 24, is the suspect in the killing of three police officers in York County.

In searching the Hall Drive residence of Ruth, investigators indicated they were looking for firearms, ammunition, cellular devices and other items.

At 2:08 p.m., detectives walked up to a door at a home in York County, Pennsylvania. By 2:10, four detectives, one deputy and the suspect were shot.

Matthew J. Ruth was involved in several incidents with police before the final confrontation Sept. 17 that left three detectives dead.
