PHILADELPHIA -- KJ Martin is looking to make more of an impact for the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2024-25 season after playing a smaller role in the 2023-24 season. The Sixers acquired Martin from the Los Angeles Clippers in the James Harden trade and averaged 3.7 points and 2.2 rebounds in 58 games.

KJ Martin feels his offensive game is coming along. Adding a three-point shot to his game was one of the 76ers forward’s main goals heading into training camp. He also wanted to get a better understanding of coach Nick Nurse’s concepts and schemes.

KJ Martin got the start in the Sixers’ penultimate preseason game and continued to have the look of a player that should fit nicely into Nick Nurse’ rotation.

Martin played in 58 games with two starts in the 2023-24 season and is looking to use his voice a bit more to help the new guys as well as the younger pieces to join the group. He has been stepping up and using his voice a bit more to be a vocal presence with the Sixers.
