During the Buffalo Bills’ 31-19 defeat of the New Orleans Saints, running back James Cook rushed for a touchdown just before the first quarter expired. The score, a one-yard run up the middle, marked the eighth-straight game (dating back to 2024 NFL season) that the Cook has found the end zone with his legs. That’s a new franchise record!
Josh Allen did what he needed to do, going 16 of 22 for 209 yards, two touchdowns, and his first interception of the season. On the ground, James Cook was superb, rushing for 117 yards and a touchdown from his 22 carries.
The fourth-year tailback’s overall start to 2025 has been historic. Cook, who also had three catches for 18 yards Sunday, became the fourth NFL player since 1990 to gain at least 100 scrimmage yards and score a rushing touchdown in each of the first four games.
