Iran condemns 'unjustifiable' return of UN sanctions
Iran on Sunday condemned as "unjustifiable" the reinstatement of United Nations sanctions over its nuclear programme, after the collapse of talks with Western powers and Israeli and US strikes on its nuclear sites.

Addressing the world's leaders, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Wednesday blamed the United States and Israeli attacks for "dealing a grievous blow" to peace negotiations as Tehran braces for the reinstatement of sanctions next week,
His comments at the General Assembly are the first time he has spoken in a global forum since the 12-day Israel-Iran war over the summer.
Masoud Pezeshkian accused the UK, France and Germany of acting ‘at the behest of the United States of America’.
Tehran and Washington signalled a possible softening in nuclear tensions on Wednesday, with Iran insisting it has no ambitions to build nuclear weapons and the U.S. expressing readiness to resume talks aimed at resolving the long-standing standoff.
