The wife of Pakistan’s imprisoned former Prime Minister Imran Khan was released from a high-security prison in the garrison city of Rawalpindi on Thursday, a day after a court granted her bail in a graft case.

She walked out of Pakistan’s Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail where she was held for 9 months from January 31 this year. An Islamabad accountability court had sentenced her and with husband, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan to 14 years in prison for receiving and selling state gifts during Khan’ tenure.
