We’re Going to Miss Mitch Republican Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky announced last Thursday that he would be retiring from the U.S. Senate after seven terms in office.
McConnell, 83, confirmed he will serve out the remainder of his term through January 2027. The announcement follows a spate of falls and other health scares stretching back to March of 2023.
