A Fort White man was arrested on a drunk driving charge when a trooper noticed signs of intoxication after stopping him for speeding on Interstate 75 in Sumter County.

The announcement came in late 2024 that an 18.5 mile stretch of I-75 between Collier County and Lee County will be widened.
