Cut trees add a special touch to Christmas, but they are not without problems that sometimes must be addressed.

Prices for fake trees rose 10% to 15% this year because of tariffs, according to the American Christmas Tree Association.

To that I say: Bah, humbug. When we finally bought a fabulous fake, I breathed a sigh of relief. No watering. No messy needles everywhere. No sap. No disposal (just storage). No problem.
