With the patience of a Buddhist monk, Arizona artist Kathy Klein creates stunning mandalas from leaves, flowers and seeds, which she calls Danmalas.
MANDALAS are intricate replicas of holy mansions, laboriously constructed and destroyed soon after their completion. They can be made of jewels, flowers, dyed rice, colored stones or colored sand.
Recently, a city-based artist and art therapist, Varalakshmi Bharanidharan, had exhibited her works. “Drawing mandalas is therapeutic. And adding colours to the design soothes the mind.
