A new area to watch for tropical development has emerged in the Atlantic Ocean as forecasters continue to monitor Invest 97L, which is expected to become a tropical depression or Tropical Storm Erin soon.

The National Hurricane Center is predicting Invest 97L could become a tropical depression or tropical storm as early as later this morning, Aug. 11.

The National Hurricane Center is tracking Invest 97L in the eastern central Atlantic, which has a 90% chance of turning into a tropical storm or hurricane, and is something the 22News Storm Team will keep an eye on over the coming days and weeks.
