The White House asked a judge Monday to allow it to continue barring the Associated Press from some press events, arguing in an new court filing that access to the president is at his discretion and not a constitutional right.

The judge did urge the Trump administration to reconsider its AP ban that stemmed from the news service’s refusal to acknowledge the ‘Gulf of America.’

A federal judge declined on Monday to temporarily restore the Associated Press’ access to some of President Donald Trump’s events, the Oval Office and Air Force One.
