Forward Erik Haula joined fellow injured player, defenseman Santeri Hatakka, on the ice at RWJBarnabas Health Hockey House. The 33-year-old center has been sidelined with a sprained ankle that he sustained on Jan. 4 against the San Jose Sharks. On Jan. 17, the organization announced Haula was placed on injured reserve.
The New Jersey Devils (26-17-6) will host the Boston Bruins (23-19-6) on Wednesday at the Prudential Center with the puck dropping at 7:00 PM ET.
Haula was placed on injured reserve Friday -- the left-shot center hasn't suited up since Jan. 4 in San Jose. The 33-year-old will need to ramp up his activity level and join the team at practice before he becomes a candidate to re-enter the lineup.
