Two New York Republicans are headed to the Trump cabinet with Rep. Elise Stefanik as United Nations ambassador and Lee Zeldin as EPA administrator.

Former U.S. Rep. Lee Zeldin has been confirmed as the new Environmental Protection Agency administrator, with the Senate voting 56-42 in favor on Wednesday. Zeldin, nominated by Donald Trump, previously served eight years in Congress representing New York’s 1st District.

Elise Stefanik (R-NY), did not mince her words in front of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee last week when she accused the organization of suffering from “antisemitic rot.”

WASHINGTON (AP) — Rep. Elise Stefanik is likely to face questions at her confirmation hearing on Tuesday to become the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations about her lack of foreign policy experience, her strong support for Israel and her views on funding the U.N. and its many agencies.
