Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Dustin Tokarski will start Wednesday's tilt against Buffalo. The veteran is getting the nod for the sixth time this campaign and looks to record a fourth consecutive win.

Tokarski stopped 21 of 24 shots in Wednesday's 4-2 loss to the Sabres. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.

Buffalo is tied for 12th offensively with 3.02 goals per game, but the Sabres have a woeful 16-22-5 record, which puts them in the Eastern Conference basement.

Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Frederik Andersen has been out since Oct. 26 after undergoing knee surgery but has been activated from the injured reserve ahead of tonight's game against the Vegas Golden Knights.

The Hurricanes activated starting goaltender Frederik Andersen from injured reserve Friday, Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff reports. Carolina returned third-string netminder Dustin Tokarski to AHL Chicago in a corresponding transaction to keep their active roster at the 23-player limit.
