Ducks' John Gibson: Unavailable for Sunday's matchup
Gibson sustained an upper-body injury against the Bruins on Saturday, and he's considered day-to-day for now. Oscar Dansk was called up from AHL San Diego on Sunday, while Lukas Dostal will likely draw the start for Sunday's road matchup against the Red Wings. Gibson's next chance to return will be Tuesday in Buffalo.
After Trevor Zegras scored with 2:33 left in the first, former Bruin/UMass star/East Longmeadow native Frank Vatrano scored in his latest return to TD Garden with 38 seconds left in the first period to give the Ducks a 2-0 lead at the first intermission.
Bruins: Boston has lost three in a row and five of its last seven games. Charlie McAvoy remained out because of a shoulder injury and infection that he picked up in the 4 Nations Face-Off.
Fans booed Boston after it fell 2 goals behind Anaheim after the first period in an eventual 3-2 loss for the Bruins.
