“Thomas and the Magic Railroad” is the first attempt of “Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends,” a PBS preschool show, to make the move to the silver screen.

Alec Baldwin, Peter Fonda and Mara Wilson (Matilda) star in this combination live-action/animation feature film version of the hit TV series, Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends.

Anniversary special: After 20 years, “Thomas and The Magic Railroad” returns to AMC Terre Haute 12 and theaters nationwide, for one day only, at 1 p.m. Oct. 24.
