Amtrak will debut its new Acela trains along the Northeast Corridor starting Thursday, Aug. 28. The upgraded vehicles will feature charging ports at each seat, and a cafe cart on select departures.

Bigger, faster Acela trains on Amtrak’s Northeast Corridor between D.C., Philadelphia, New York, and Boston will make their debut on August 28.

The new Acela has been promised for the last four years. After resolving design and operation issues, Amtrak is now announcing its debut at the end of August.
