Office of Juvenile Affairs officials say they're encouraged by the improvements being made at the Family Center for Juvenile Justice after serious allegations came to light earlier this year.

The North Carolina Department of Public Safety identified the four juveniles who escaped as Quadarius H., Jayden W., Eric M., David B. The department did not provide their last names.
