Furrah has shared a gripping video featuring a massive tree being uprooted by the ferocious winds of Storm Éowyn. "Storm Éowyn hit the UK with winds over 100mph," the filmer told WooGlobe. "This very old tree was uprooted by the winds and fell into a neighboring property.

Storm Éowyn is battering the west coast as a rare red weather warning has come into effect in Scotland. The area covered by the high winds alert - which lasts until 17:00 - has been extended to include most of Dumfries and Galloway. It already covered most of the central belt, including Glasgow, Edinburgh and some islands.

Buildings are damaged and 100,000 homes and businesses are left without electricity as gusts over 100mph are recorded.

The rare warning takes effect with schools closed, supermarkets shut, power cuts and people told not to travel in the affected area.
