What the Packers’ salary cap situation could look like in 2026

Green Bay promoted Simpson as the Packers placed cornerback Kamal Hadden on injured reserve. Hadden played 37 defensive snaps and 66 special-teams plays in 10 games in 2025 before he sustained a season-ending ankle injury in a 41-24 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday night.
The injured reserve list for the Packers is going to add two more names. Jordon Riley and Kamal Hadden both have season-ending injuries.
In addition to the previously reported waiver claim of defensive lineman Jonathan Ford, they have signed cornerbacks Shemar Bartholomew and Jaylin Simpson to the active roster. Both players were on their practice squad.
However, the 27-year-old cornerback hasn't played close to that level in 2025. When targeted, Diggs is giving up a perfect passer rating of 158.3. For reference, the Packers' starting cornerbacks, Keisean Nixon and Carrington Valentine, have a 104.6 and 109 passer rating, respectively.
