Speaker of the Senate Amason Jeffah Kingi has gazetted the impeachment of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, declaring the Deputy President's office vacant.

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua was expected to testify in his impeachment motion. However, Speaker Amason Kingi said Gachagua was nowhere to be seen.
