The new season of Doctor Who will be coming at a particularly busy time for streaming TV, with the next season of Andor hitting Disney Plus on April 22nd, and The Last of Us returning for season 2 on HBO on April 13th.

The good Doctor Who is bringing the TARDIS back to television this April, and the Doctor isn’t coming alone. In the second episode, none other than the Traitor himself Alan Cumming will be making his long-awaited return to the long-running British sci-fi series.

Somehow the Doctor always seems to be so far off and yet closer than you think. At least that’s how it’s felt for the past several years. Doctor Who has had fewer episodes and less frequent seasons since about 2017.
