Another warm and dry day is expected in northern Minnesota, but wetter weather is possible on Thursday. More than 140 buildings have been destroyed and 20,000 acres of forest burned by a trio of wildfires that continue to rage in northern Minnesota.

Fire trucks and other emergency vehicles lined the streets near Hugo's. Jeff Conklin sat in a wheelchair outside his truck near the bar's parking area, watching the comings and goings. He's been sleeping, he said, in his truck.

Three major wildfires raging out of control in the same Minnesota county have burned more than 20,000 acres combined, destroying dozens of structures, triggering evacuations and prompting the governor to call in the state National Guard to help battle the flames.

Superior National Forest Brimson Complex Fire Area Closure DULUTH, Minn. – Due to the Brimson Complex fires (Camp House & Jenkins Creek fires) on the Superior National Forest (SNF) is closing a portion of the Laurentian Ranger District.

An update issued at 7:46 a.m. revealed that the Jenkins Creek Fire expanded to 6,000 acres, a significant increase from the 1,500 acres it had devoured as of Monday evening.

The U.S. Forest service says say the Camp House fire has burned over 12,000 acres and 140 structures have been destroyed.

The Camp House Fire near Brimson has grown to 750 acres as of Monday morning. It was zero-percent contained as crews worked on the ground and from the air to douse the flames. Meanwhile, another large wildfire started Monday just a few miles away.
