Newly minted Chicago Bears coach Ben Johnson held his first press conference on Wednesday afternoon, during which he praised Chicago's roster, poked fun at some divisional rivals, and spoke more candidly and in detail about his plans to fix an ailing franchise.

The Bears had targeted Johnson as their top candidate since firing head coach Matt Eberflus the day after Thanksgiving, convinced that his play-calling acumen and leadership skills were a perfect pairing with quarterback Caleb Williams and the rest of the Bears’ roster.
